First established in 1987, now GPB Construction Ltd is a family company based in the Uckfield area and has been successfully operating throughout the Sussex, Kent, Surrey and Home Counties regions since then, in this time our turnover has grown to approximately £15 million a year.
The company has a conscientious and highly experienced team of 100, including management and administrative support at our Halland office. We work closely with specialist subcontractors, all of whom are highly respected across the area.
Since establishment GPB has strived to keep up with the ever changing Health and Safety rulings in our industry. Over the years we have accumalated a wide range of certifications and qualifications in order to meet the high standard excpected of us. As a company we believe in optimising Health and Safety in order to create a safer work environment.
Quality in Construction
Major City Centre Development
A major city centre development, by Kier construction, in the heart of Eastbourne. This challenging project involved major earthworks, drainage and concreting packages, including all the above ground concreting of floors. This substantial development includes multi-screen cinemas, restaurants and major retail outlets.
Retirement Apartments
A large retirement apartment building with extensive and complex piling and block and beam flooring for McGoffs construction.
New Splash Pool
The new Butlins ‘splash pool’ at their Bognor Regis site for Kier construction, GPB were involved from start to finish in the extensive groundworks and civil engineering required. We were also able to assist extensively with temporary works and labour supply.
New Build
A traditional house build for Thakeham homes.
High Spec External Finishing
GPB completed the high spec. external finishing works at this high rise development of student accommodation for Osborne in the heart of Portsmouth.
Extensive Improvements
This highly complex work extended the capacity of a small treatment works for Southern Water and Morrisons utilities. Extensive water pumping mains and multiple new concrete structures were added to the site in very tight physical space with no disruption to the service.
Health & Safety and Staff Improvement
GPB are proud of our Health, Safety and Training. With a dedicated NEBOSH safety officer, we make honest and critical inspections of our sites on a regular basis. High quality reports are sent to the client within 24 hours of inspection.
Our own set of minimum standards meets or exceeds those of our clients in most cases, so that our managers and staff require Zero Client Intervention on safety.
GPB are a CITB Approved Training Organisation. Our highly skilled and qualified training manager utilises a modern database system to ensure all our training is up to date and meets client needs.
